UK pay-television broadcaster BSkyB expects to agree a deal to sublicense rights for free-to-air highlights of the 2013-14 Ashes cricket series between England and Australia before the first Test match on November 21, according to the Daily Mail newspaper.
The report said that Sky can stipulate that the free-to-air broadcaster can only show highlights after 10pm UK time, just before the start of the following day of play in Australia.
Sky acquired the exclusive live UK rights to the 2013-14 Ashes series from the Cricket Australia governing body and has control over whether to agree a highlights deal with a terrestrial broadcaster.
