New Zealand pay-television operator Sky agreed a one-year extension to its existing rights deal with Australia’s National Rugby League, to cover the upcoming 2012 season.
Sky New Zealand will show live coverage of every NRL game this season, plus live matches from the Toyota Cup, a feeder competition for the top-tier NRL.
The deal also includes rights to the annual State of Origin series, between New South Wales and Queensland, and the annual international test match between Australia and New Zealand.
The 2012 NRL season begins on March 1.
