Sports video news agency SNTV has agreed a three-year deal with Eurosport to supply digital and television broadcast content for the pan-regional broadcaster’s international channels.
SNTV, a joint venture between the Associated Press news agency and IMG Media agency, will provide content for the daily news bulletins and regular magazine shows on television channels Eurosport and Eurosport 2, along with the Eurosportnews channel, which broadcasts in nearly 50 countries across Africa, Asia, Europe and the Middle East.
The agreement also includes SNTV digital content for online platforms, delivered to meet Eurosport’s extensive digital portfolio of websites and apps. SNTV plans coverage of the Sochi Olympic winter Games and Fifa 2014 World Cup this year, along with action from regionally popular sports that are relevant to Eurosport’s audience.
“Signing with Eurosport is of key importance to us,” Beatrice Saunier, head of IMG France who led the negotiations with Eurosport, said. “With Eurosport having a pan-European footprint as a major sports broadcaster, it will bring a fantastic exposure to the content produced by SNTV.”
