The Scottish Professional Football League, which operates the league system in Scotland, has agreed a deal with media company Turner that will see the top-tier Premiership granted significant coverage in the US once more.
The WorldSoccerTalk website said Turner has agreed a multi-year deal with the MP & Silva agency, the SPFL’s international rights-holder, which will commence immediately.
The rights will be exploited via Turner’s new OTT sports platform B/R Live, which launched in the US on April 7.
WorldSoccerTalk said B/R Live will commence its coverage with Sunday’s Old Firm clash between Celtic and Rangers, a match that could hand the home team the Premiership title at Celtic Park.
B/R Live will then reportedly show two to three matches each weekend. The Premiership has been without a television or streaming partner in the US after the Fox Sports division of the Fox network elected not to extend its deal.
