Dutch pay-television broadcaster Sport1 has acquired rights to a host of major golf properties through to 2016.
Sport1 said it has agreed deals to broadcast events from the European Tour, along with the Ryder Cup, US Open, The Open and PGA Championship tournaments.
Sport1 said that it will also broadcast the US PGA Tour and the World Golf Championships, adding that it will pay “much attention” to women’s golf in the shape of weekly coverage of the LPGA tour and highlights of the women’s majors.
