The Sportfive agency invited offers for the rights for the 2014 and 2016 Olympic Games in Belarus.
The deadline for the offers is 5pm central European time on May 14.
The 2014 winter Olympics will take place in Sochi, Russia, and the 2016 summer Olympics will be staged in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Sportfive is selling the International Olympic Committee’s rights for the two events on a market-by-market basis across 40 European territories.
Under a deal agreed by the IOC and Sportfive in February 2009, Sportfive guaranteed the IOC €236.5 million ($310 million) for the rights in the 40 markets. The IOC has negotiated rights deals directly in Europe’s largest markets.
