Sportsman lays up deal with Italian volleyball league

The Sportsman Media Group agency has agreed a four-season deal for the international audiovisual rights to the Lega Pallavolo Serie A Femminile, the top division of women’s club volleyball in Italy.

The deal runs across the 2016-17 to 2019-20 seasons and includes media and betting rights.

Media rights will be exclusively distributed by Sportsman’s media rights team on a global basis, excluding Italy, San Marino and the Vatican City. The agency plans to offer a package of approximately 50 matches per season live to broadcasters which will contain the ‘match of the week’ as well as Playoff matches and the Cup Finals. Betting rights are worldwide.

The Lega Pallavolo Serie A Femminile is regarded as one of the best women’s volleyball leagues in the world and contains the reigning CEV Volleyball Champions League winner Pomi Casalmaggiore.

President of the Lega Pallavolo Serie A Femminilie, Mauro Fabris, said: “This partnership is truly exciting and reassuring. We are traveling in the right direction and we plan to grow even more – to be a beacon of excellence in Italy and beyond.”
