Star India will show blanket live coverage of the Rio 2016 summer Olympic Games via eight dedicated channels, the pay-television broadcaster has announced.
According to indiantelevison.com, Games coverage will be available across the four Star Sports high-definition channels, with the coverage mirrored by the four standard-definition versions of the channels.
Star India will broadcast English-language coverage on Star Sports 1 and 4, as well as the corresponding HD1 and HD4 channels. Star Sports 2 and 3, along with the high definition HD2 and HD3 channels, will broadcast in Hindi.
Star India will also offer live Games coverage via its Hotstar streaming platform.
The broadcaster said that more than 3,000 hours of live coverage will be available to subscribers during the Games, which will run from August 5-21.
