Uefa, European football’s governing body, has finally agreed a deal in Switzerland with pay-television broadcaster Teleclub for live rights to the Champions League and Europa League for three years, from 2012-13 to 2014-15. The rights were put on the market on March 22 last year.
Teleclub acquired the rights to all Champions League matches and will televise the games live across its bouquet of sports channels. A highlights programme will also be shown each match night.
The pay-television broadcaster will also broadcast a minimum of two live matches per kick-off slot from the Europa League, plus a weekly highlights programme.
The deal, brokered by the Team Marketing agency, also includes mobile and internet rights.
