Televisa agrees carriage deal for Mediapro’s F1 channel

Pay-television operator Televisa has struck a carriage deal in Mexico for the Mediapro agency’s Canal F1 Latin America Formula One-dedicated pay-television channel.

The deal will allow the channel to be available on DTH platform Sky Mexico and cable-television platform Izzi Telecom, which are both operated by Televisa.

Mediapro launched the channel on March 1, and the deal was agreed just hours before the start of the 2015 Formula One season today (Friday) in Melbourne, Australia.

The channel will show all qualifying and races live as well as action from the GP2 and GP3 series plus other motorsports events.
