Ten buys ISAF Sailing World Championship rights

Ten will show 30 hours of live coverage and a daily highlights programme. The television production will feature on-deck cameras and graphics plotting the progress of the boats around the course.

The Australian Olympic team will use the event to select 75 per cent of its competitors.

The World Championships is the biggest event in the 2011 international sailing calendar. It will feature around 1,400 sailors and 850 boats from 80 nations in 10 Olympic sailing classes. The event will be broadcast internationally from a broadcast centre at the Bathers Bay venue in Fremantle, Perth.
