The Tenfield agency has extended rights deals with Uruguayan top-tier football clubs Nacional and Penarol.
Tenfield, which has been a long-term domestic rights-holder of coverage of the Uruguayan Primera División, had an existing deal running until 2025 with all of the division’s other clubs.
The two biggest clubs in Uruguay had an initial deal that was due to expire at the end of 2021, but they have now renegotiated the terms of their agreement to bring them in line with their domestic rivals.
Nacional and Penarol will each receive $3.25m (€3m) per year under the new agreement, according to the Referi news website.
