Four of the sport broadcasting industry’s most respected figures will speak at the first TVSM Live event in Paris on Thursday, May 10.
IMG’s Michel Masquelier, the International Olympic Committee’s Vincent Chupin, the Nordic Canal Plus’s Johan Kleberg, and Eurosport’s Jean-Thierry Augustin will address an audience of senior executives who have been personally invited by TV Sports Markets, the industry newsletter.
Masquelier, the IMG Media president, will present: “Rights-holders taking control – threat or opportunity for agencies.” Masquelier replaces IMG’s Ioris Francini, who has had to withdraw from the event due to unforeseen commitments.
Chupin, the IOC’s vice president, television and audiovisual rights, will present: “The evolution of the IOC rights sales strategy in Europe 2010-2016”.
Kleberg, chief executive of Nordic pay-television broadcaster Canal Plus and head of sports rights acquisitions at TV4 Group, will present: “The evolution of the pay-TV business model and its implications for TV sports rights values.”
Augustin, Eurosport’s managing director, distribution, development and rights acquisition, will present: “Well paid or well watched? A dilemma for rights-holders.”
Each presentation will be followed by a question and answer session.
The event is organised by TV Sports Markets and hosted by Eurosport.
