Badminton Europe, the sport’s governing body in Europe, has appointed the Total Sports Asia agency to distribute rights to its events on a worldwide basis for the next four years, from 2013 to 2016.
Total Sports Asia will sell rights to the European Championships, European Mixed Team Championships, European Men’s and Women’s Team Championships and the European Club Championships after being selected following a tender process.
“With Total Sports Asia we have found a professional and badminton-experienced sports marketing agency,” Badminton Europe’s general secretary, Brian Agerbak, said. “The cooperation with Total Sports Asia will ensure better exposure for our European badminton events. We are hoping to reach a new level of promoting our badminton events in Europe.”
Total Sports Asia has been a rights distribution partner of the Badminton World Federation, the sport’s global governing body, since 2005.
