Baltic media group TV3 has agreed a three-season extension to its rights deal with Euroleague Basketball.
Under the deal covering the 2020-21 to 2022-23 seasons, the TV3 Sport television channel will air more than 240 live matches during the EuroLeague regular season, plus all the playoffs and Final Four games of the top-tier club competition to its customers in Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania. These games will also be available via Go3, the OTT streaming platform which TV3 launched in December.
TV3’s coverage will ensure EuroLeague and EuroCup fans will continue to receive commentary in their local languages plus highlights packages, interviews, profiles, archive material and pre- and post-game analysis.
Jan Wykrytowicz, pay-television chief executive of the TV3 Group, said it will broadcast more than 80 per cent of the games on an exclusive basis.
The Euroleague agreement comes after TV3 signed an exclusive, multi-year rights deal with the Ultimate Fighting Championship in May to provide coverage of the mixed martial arts promotion in Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia.
