Spanish public-service broadcaster TVE has agreed a two-season rights deal for English club football’s FA Cup, according to the El Confidencial Digital website.
The agreement will cover the 2016-17 and 2017-18 editions of the knockout tournament, with TVE reportedly paying €2.4m ($2.64m) for the rights.
El Confidencial Digital said FA Cup games will be broadcast by TVE’s sports channel Teledeporte.
Meanwhile, the website added that a budget of €1m has been approved to bid for rights to the 2016 Fifa Club World Cup.
Spanish LaLiga club Real Madrid is competing in the competition, which takes place from December 8-18 in Japan, as reigning champions of the Uefa Champions League.
