Polish public-service broadcaster TVP has acquired rights to next month’s boxing bout between Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Manny Pacquiao, according to Super Express.
The Polish newspaper said TVP will pay $135,000 (€123,000) for the rights, seeing off competition for the contract from pay-television operator Polsat.
TVP’s deal means the fight will be provided on a free-to-air basis in Poland.
The two men considered boxing’s best pound-for-pound fighters will contest the WBC, WBA and WBO welterweight championships at Las Vegas’ MGM Grand Garden Arena on May 2.
