Polish pay-television broadcaster Polsat has further widened access to its coverage of the Uefa Champions League and Europa League club football competitions by agreeing a carriage partnership with telco UPC Polska.
The partnership will run for three years, covering the 2018-19 to 2020-21 seasons for which Polsat holds rights to the two competitions.
Under the deal, UPC Polska will provide its customers with access to the Polsat Sport Premium 1 and Polsat Sport Premium 2 television channels, as well as pay-per-view services Polsat Sport Premium 3 PPV, Polsat Sport Premium 4 PPV, Polsat Sport Premium 5 PPV and Polsat Sport Premium 6 PPV.
UPC said it will provide terms and pricing of the offer at a later date. Robert Redeleanu, chief executive of UPC Polska, added: “It will be a perfect complement to the attractive set of sports events available at UPC, such as the (German) Bundesliga, (Italian) Serie A and (Spanish) LaLiga games.
“This is yet more proof of our commitment to providing high-quality content that strengthens our brand as the best in the Polish market in the field of internet and television entertainment.”
Polsat struck a similar deal with pay-television operator NC Plus in July.
