US regional broadcaster renews ice hockey deal with local NHL side

US regional sports network Fox Sports Carolinas extended its rights deal with NHL ice hockey side Carolina Hurricanes in a multi-year agreement for all matches not shown nationally by the league’s rights-holders.

Fox Sports Carolinas’ current deal with the Hurricanes, which expires at the end of the 2012-13 season, includes live coverage of 65 regular-season games. In the new deal, which commences from the 2013-14 season, the regional broadcaster will continue to produce pre- and post-game analysis shows for every Hurricanes game.
