The ADAC GT Masters has entered into a partnership with smart television services provider NetRange that will grant global exposure to the German-based motor racing series.
Through the development of a new app, NetRange will provide the ADAC GT Masters through smart televisions around the world, allowing fans to watch live races and highlights.
Along with the flagship ADAC GT Masters series, the app will also cover ADAC Formula 4 (pictured). The series designed for young drivers features the likes of Mick Schumacher, son of Formula One legend Michael Schumacher.
The partnership between ADAC, the German Automobile Club, and NetRange was brokered by production company Wige Media, the production and distribution partner of the ADAC GT Masters since 2010.
Senior vice-president of Wige Media, Thorsten Schroeder, said: “Media is in constant change. People seek and watch their favourite content in an entirely different way than they did 10 years ago. Smart TV – combining the traditional linear television feeling with a new, individualised media consumption – is a key part in our approach. Having realised projects together with both NetRange and of course ADAC, we are sure that this partnership has huge mutual potential.”
