The World Archery governing body has extended its deal with the Broadreach Media agency to distribute media rights in India, subcontinental Asia and Russia.
Terms of the extended deal have not been disclosed. World Archery first appointed Lausanne-based Broadreach as its media rights distribution partner in April this year.
Under the previous deal, Broadreach offered highlights and live coverage rights to the 2013 editions of the World Cup and World Championship events.
“India is definitely a key market for archery in terms of participation across the country and strong results at the top level,” World Archery’s secretary general, Tom Dielen, said. “It is a market where we see a strong potential growth for archery on television and other media outlets.”
The next major World Archery event will be the World Indoor Championships, which will take place in Nimes, France on February 25, 2014.
