The Automobile Club de l’Ouest and World Endurance Championship have appointed the Infront Sports & Media agency as the worldwide media rights distributor for the motor racing series.
Infront’s deal is for an initial three years, covering the 2015 to 2017 seasons of the WEC, and includes all live/delayed, magazine and news rights across all platforms on a global basis.
Broadcasters will receive HD programming from all eight events on the championship’s calendar, with its showpiece being the iconic 24 Hours of Le Mans.
Live coverage from qualifying and each race will be complemented by additional coverage including circuit presentations, race highlights, driver analysis, podium coverage and interviews.
The 2015 World Endurance Championship begins in the UK with the 6 Hours of Silverstone on April 12.
ACO is the organiser of the WEC and Infront said its focus would be on “maximum exposure” for the championship both in established motor sports territories and emerging regions.
