World Touring Car Championship promoter Eurosport Events has agreed a broadcast partnership for the motor racing series in Slovakia with media group Central European Media Enterprises (CME).
Under the deal, WTCC Race of Slovakia will receive significant live television coverage this week. CME free-to-air channels TV Markíza and TV Dajto will devote substantial airtime to the Slovakia Ring event from June 19-21.
TV Markíza’s popular morning show, Telerano, will feature an appearance by local hero and WTCC rookie Mato Homola tomorrow (Tuesday). The channel will then cover WTCC testing on June 19 and news items throughout the race weekend. TV Dajto will broadcast the WTCC races live with its own customised feed from the Slovakia Ring paddock in a slot from 12:30pm until 1:46pm local time on June 21.
Confirmation of the coverage on TV Markíza and TV Dajto in Slovakia follows the signing of agreements by Eurosport Events with other free-to-air broadcasters earlier this year, including Canal 12 in Argentina, 2M in Morocco, MTV1 and Duna TV in Hungary and TrueVisions in Thailand. They will all show significant WTCC coverage throughout the season.
