Yes Network extends deal with NBA’s Nets

US regional pay-television sports broadcaster Yes Network has extended a rights deal with North American NBA basketball franchise the Brooklyn Nets.

Although the terms of the deal were not disclosed, Netsdaily.com reports that the agreement will come into effect from the 2017-18 season.

Sources told Netsdaily.com that the deal will be worth “substantially more” than the $40m (€36.1m) per year reported last month. The current agreement is worth $20m per year.

Yes Network will continue to broadcast live coverage of Nets games throughout its broadcasting area.

Yes Network has broadcast Nets games in the New York and its surrounding areas since its inception in 2002.
