Dutch pay-television broadcaster Ziggo has strengthened its football rights portfolio by securing coverage of Serie A, the top division of Italian football, as well as the English FA Cup.
The rights deals will run for three seasons, from 2018-19 to 2020-21.
The coverage will be available through the Ziggo Sport Totaal package.
Ziggo also has rights to the English Premier League and Spanish LaLiga football tournaments, as well as the top divisions in Belgium, Portugal and Scotland.
Ziggo Sport director Will Moerer said that the presence of five Dutch footballers in Serie A, including Justin Kluivert, who has signed for AS Roma, will stoke interest in the league.
He added that the FA Cup matches would work well in terms of scheduling, with the coverage to be shown on weekends when there is no Premier League football.
