Football: South African public-service broadcaster SABC acquired a package of free-to-air rights for English football’s Premier League in a three-year deal from 2007-08 to 2009-10. The package includes the rights for one live match a week, usually on Monday evenings, and highlights. The Optima agency won the same package for the Rest of Sub-Saharan Africa.
