Olympics: The Seven Network, which is paying $50.5m (£27m/€40.7m) for the Australian television rights to this year’s Athens Olympics, has reached deadlock in its attempt to sub-license rights to pay-television operator Foxtel. Seven said that its business plan for the Olympics was not dependent on doing a pay-deal and that the Foxtel offer was “too low to consider it to be an offer”.
