Football: Uefa, European football’s governing body, agreed a number of deals for the Euro 2012 and Euro 2016 tournaments. The deals include the rights for the Under-21 European Championships in 2011 and 2013 and, in most cases, the Women’s Euro 2013. Uefa agreed deals in Mexico with pan-regional broadcast union the OTI, in Venezuela with free-to-air broadcaster Meridiano TV and with Grupo Albavision in the rest of Latin America (excluding Brazil). In sub-Saharan Africa, it has agreed a deal with pay-television broadcaster SuperSport International. In Asia, it has agreed deals in Malaysia with pay-television broadcaster Astro and in Indonesia with free-to-air broadcaster RCTI and its pay-television arm Indovision (see story this issue).
