Football: Sports broadcaster ESPN Brasil acquired pay-television rights in Brazil for the 2010 World Cup in a sublicensing deal with commercial broadcaster Globo. ESPN Brasil is to launch a special channel lasting the duration of the tournament. Globo has already agreed another sublicensing deal with commercial rival Bandeirantes.
