The German Table Tennis Association (DTTB) has agreed a four-year extension to its rights deal with public-service broadcasters ARD and ZDF.
The agreement was struck between the DTTB and SportA, the sports-rights agency that represents ARD and ZDF.
The highlight of the new contract will be the International Table Tennis Federation’s 2017 World Championships, which will take place in the German city of Dusseldorf from May 29 to June 5.
ARD and ZDF will also broadcast DTTB-organised events such as the annual German Open, national German championships and men’s and women’s qualifiers for the European Championships.
