Arsenal has launched an account on the short-form video service TikTok, it said on Wednesday.
The club will use the platform to reach and engage with new audiences online, particularly younger fans. The new account, @Arsenal, will show content that includes behind-the-scenes footage, exclusive access to first-team stars, exclusive mini-series, as well as memorable goals and celebrations.
Arsenal established a presence earlier this year on Douyin, the Chinese version of TikTok.
It joins the likes of AC Milan, Liverpool, Corinthians, Barcelona and the International Olympic Committee on TikTok. Surrey County Cricket Club also launched an official channel earlier this year.
Liverpool was the first English Premier League team to launch on the platform.
TikTok is currently available in more than 150 markets, and in 75 languages, with a localisation strategy to encourage users to create and interact with content that is culturally relevant.
