Bayern Munich targets China and US through Goal.com partnership

German Bundesliga champion Bayern Munich has signed a global media partnership with specialist digital football platform Goal.com.

Terms of the agreement were not disclosed, but it will allow for the mutual exchange of content across all digital platforms by the football club and Goal, with a focus on the US and Chinese markets.

Bayern will receive video and editorial content related to the Bundesliga from Goal.com, offering fans targeted coverage on the club’s media platforms. Goal is set to benefit from behind-the-scenes Bayern content.

Bayern Munich chief executive Jörg Wacker said: “The cooperation is an important step in our internationalisation strategy. Through the partnership with Goal.com, FC Bayern’s brand will gain increased visibility in our target markets in the US and China.”
