Pay-television broadcaster beIN Media Group has acquired rights in France to the 2015 Major League Baseball season.
BeIN first covered MLB in October when it broadcast the 2014 World Series. The broadcaster has now committed to the entire 2015 campaign and will offer one regular season game per week on a delayed basis. The weekly game will be broadcast on Mondays.
Under the deal, BeIN will also provide live coverage of the All Star Game, the playoffs and the World Series.
BeIN’s coverage commenced with the St. Louis Cardinals’ 3-0 victory over the Chicago Cubs on Monday. It will continue with the New York Yankees welcoming the Boston Red Sox on April 13.
