British Eurosport, the UK arm of pan-regional broadcaster Eurosport, acquired rights for Davis Cup tennis in a two-year deal, covering 2012 and 2013, with the International Tennis Federation.
The UK pay-television broadcaster will provide exclusive coverage of the World Group ties, plus the Great Britain team’s Europe/Africa Zone Group I fixtures, beginning with the first-round tie against the Slovak Republic in Glasgow on February 10-12.
Rights to the 2012 and 2013 editions of the Fed Cup final, the women’s equivalent of the Davis Cup, and the Hopman Cup, a mixed international tournament held annually in Perth, Australia, were also included in the package.
Coverage of the three ITF events will be streamed live via the Eurosport Player, Eurosport’s subscription video internet platform.
