French pay-television broadcaster Canal Plus has put its Canal Plus Events division up for sale, according to French newspaper Le Parisien.
The report said that several sports marketing companies, investment banks and investment funds had shown an interest in acquiring Canal Plus Events, which operates a number of sporting events in golf, tennis and action sports.
The newspaper added that Canal Plus had set a deadline of September 14 for bids to acquire the division.
The broadcaster launched Canal Plus Events in 2008 after purchasing event organiser Occade Sport.
