World Bowling, the governing body of tenpin bowling, has agreed a multi-year rights deal with US pay-television channel CBS Sports Network.
The agreement marks a first partnership for both parties and will see CBS Sports Network exclusively televise World Bowling content.
The contract will begin with the finale of the 2019 World Bowling Women’s Championships, which is due to conclude in the US city of Las Vegas tomorrow (Friday).
World Bowling president, HRH Sheikh Talal Mohammed Al-Sabah, said: “With many events taking place on US soil in the coming years, we are pleased that we can offer this level of exposure to our athletes and sport.”
World Bowling last year appointed the Singapore-based Reddentes Sports agency to develop new broadcast properties, manage the distribution of World Bowling’s media rights and explore new commercial opportunities for the international governing body of the sport.
