Pay-television sports broadcaster Charlton has acquired all rights in Israel for the Uefa Europa League in a three-year deal, from 2012-13 to 2014-15, with Uefa.
Charlton, the incumbent rights-holder in Israel, will broadcast two matches live in each kick-off slot, on its Sport 1 and Sport 2 channels. A weekly highlights programme will also be shown on Sport 1.
Uefa, football’s European governing body, said that the rights would also be exploited on the internet on Sport 2’s website and also via mobile.
The deal was negotiated by Team Marketing, Uefa’s global sales agent for the Europa League.
