Cricket Australia has sealed rights deals with sports broadcaster NBC Sports Network and cricket-dedicated media company Willow TV in the US and Asian Television Network in Canada.
The deals with Willow TV and ATN will run for five years, from 2016-17 to 2020-21. The length of the NBCSN agreement was not disclosed.
The Willow TV deal will include men’s and women’s international matches and domestic Twenty20 competitions, the Big Bash League and Women’s Big Bash League. Cricket fans in the US who are subscribers of Willow will also be able to stream live coverage via the Cricket.com.au website.
NBCSN will show 10 Big Bash League matches, including a weekly match-of-the-round live and on replay, and all BBL finals on delay. All 10 BBL matches will also simultaneously be made available on NBCSports.com and the NBC Sports app, which is free to download for authenticated pay-television subscribers of NBCSN.
ATN will be the exclusive rights-holder of all men’s and women’s international matches, plus the BBL and WBBL domestic competitions.
