DFL opens bidding for overseas Bundesliga rights

DFL Sports Enterprises, the commercial arm of the German Football League (DFL), has launched an invitation to tender for overseas rights to the country’s top-tier Bundesliga and second division Bundesliga 2 club football competitions for two seasons.

The tender process will cover the 2015-16 and 2016-17 seasons.

DFL Sports Enterprises intends to invite bids from 18 various European territories and neighbouring states. These comprise Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Cyprus, Georgia, Greece, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Malta, Moldova, Russia, Spain (including Andorra), Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Turkey, Ukraine and Uzbekistan.

Interested parties must register for participation in the process by September 17.

The deadline for all bids will be October 1.
