Direct-to-home and IPTV platform Digi has further bolstered its football content in the Czech Republic and Slovakia by acquiring rights to England’s FA Cup and Community Shield competitions.
Digi already holds rights to the Premier League, Championship and Scottish Premiership and has now secured a three-season deal, running from 2018-19 to 2020-21, for the FA Cup.
Digi will also broadcast the Community Shield, the annual season curtain-raiser between the reigning FA Cup and Premier League champion, during this period.
Digi last week acquired exclusive rights in the Czech Republic and Slovakia for Italy’s Serie A across the same three-season period.
