Dugout, a new digital media platform that will be supported by a host of elite European football clubs, will launch in November.
The platform will feature exclusive interviews and behind-the-scenes video content.
Access to Dugout will be free, with content available on the platform at least 24 hours before it can be seen anywhere else, apart from on Barcelona’s own television channel. The service will also include profile pages for top football players.
Dugout.com and the platform’s mobile application will launch in November on desktop, tablet and mobile devices, initially in eight different languages – Catalan, English, French, German, Indonesian, Italian, Portuguese and Spanish.
The initiative was first reported in July, but several clubs, including German Bundesliga club Bayern Munich, English Premier League club Chelsea and French Ligue 1 club Paris Saint-Germain, have only just confirmed their involvement.
Arsenal, Manchester City and Liverpool from the Premier League and Italian Serie A clubs AC Milan and Juventus are also involved in the venture, with “a number of other top teams” having also signed up.
