International sports broadcaster Eleven Sports has broadened its portfolio in Portugal by acquiring rights to American football league the NFL.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed, but it will commence with the opening game of the 2018 regular season between the Atlanta Falcons and Philadelphia Eagles on September 6.
Eleven launched in Portugal on Wednesday, but is currently only available through telco NOWO.
Eleven announced its entry into Portugal in May with the headline rights captures of club football competitions the Uefa Champions League and Spain’s LaLiga.
The exclusive agreements start from the beginning of the 2018-19 season and will run for three years until the end of the 2020-21 campaign.
