Finnish telecommunications company Elisa has acquired rights for the Uefa European qualifiers rights and the governing body’s 2015 U-21 European Championships.
The rights will cover the remaining three years of Uefa’s current four-year cycle, which started in 2014-15 and will run until 2017-18.
The qualifier rights cover national team matches ahead of the Uefa Euro 2016 tournament in France and the 2018 Fifa World Cup in Russia. The U-21 championships will take place in Czech Republic next month.
The rights cover television, PC, tablet and mobile platforms.
Elisa said that it had acquired the rights from Uefa. The CAA Eleven agency has been selling the rights to those Uefa properties.
Last August, Finnish public-service broadcaster YLE also acquired European qualifier rights.
