Spyros Capralos, president of the European Olympic Committees (EOC), is confident that the new European Games broadcast deal with the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) consortium of public-service broadcasters will deliver the exposure the event has been missing.

The EOC and the EBU recently signed off on a host broadcast and rights contract covering the multi-sport event in 2023 and 2027. The guarantee of exposure across European public-service broadcasters addresses the problem for the Games of generating sufficient viewer interest in Europe.
