Eredivisie Live, the pay-television channel operated by the Dutch football league, has acquired rights for the German domestic cup, the DFB-Pokal, and the German national team’s home matches, in a two-year deal, from 2012-13 to 2013-14.
The deal was agreed with the Deutscher Fussball-Bund, the German football federation.
Eredivisie Live will show the German national team’s home qualifying matches for the 2014 World Cup, plus all home friendly matches during the period.
“As the largest digital live football channel Eredivisie Live is for us an excellent partner,” said Denni Strich, marketing director of the DFB. “It is a magnificent stage for our national team and cup football for the Dutch fans. That it is a co-operation with the television station of the Eredivisie clubs makes it also more attractive.”
