Pan-regional sports broadcaster Eurosport Asia-Pacific has acquired rights for the National Badminton League, a new competition launched by the Badminton England governing body.
Eurosport Asia-Pacific will broadcast live coverage of the NBL in 16 countries across the region including Australia, Malaysia and Indonesia.
The NBL begins on October 6 with monthly match nights through to April 2015. This will then be followed by a one-day knockout competition featuring the top four teams in June 2015.
The NBL will consist of six franchised teams featuring the UK’s best players and new, emerging talent.
Earlier this year, UK pay-television broadcaster BSkyB acquired exclusive rights for the NBL in the UK and Ireland.
