International sports broadcaster Eurosport has agreed a five-year extension to its deal with Amaury Sport Organisation for exclusive television and digital rights of its cycling events in the Asia-Pacific region.
The new deal runs from 2017 to 2021 and covers eight major international cycling races.
In Asia, the deal includes the Tour de France, Vuelta a España, Paris-Roubaix, Flèche Wallonne, Liège-Bastogne-Liège, Paris-Nice, Critèrium du Dauphiné and the end-of-season Paris-Tours.
The same package, excluding the Tour de France, has been renewed for Australia and the Pacific region.
The agreement in Asia-Pacific excludes China, Japan and New Zealand and covers 43 territories. The rights are exclusive for the live broadcast of all races in these territories, with the exception of Australia.
