International sports broadcaster Eurosport and UK free-to-air DTT channel Quest have expanded their partnership with World Snooker by agreeing a deal to show the 2019 Snooker Shoot Out tournament.
Eurosport and Quest will serve as host broadcasters for next year’s event, which will take place from February 21-24 at the Watford Colosseum in the UK.
The Shoot Out brings the total number of events broadcast by Eurosport to 19, with qualifying rounds and other events available on Eurosport Player.
World Snooker’s partnership with Eurosport and Quest runs until 2026.
Laurent Prud’homme, senior vice-president rights acquisition and syndication at Eurosport, said: “The agreement supplements Eurosport's coverage of world-class snooker, where we already offer fans in excess of 800 hours of live action from around the world throughout the season.”
UK commercial broadcaster ITV previously held rights from 2015 until 2018.
Michael Georgiou of Cyprus won this year’s Snooker Shoot Out after beating Scotland’s Graeme Dott in the final.
