EXCLUSIVE: Asian Tour to acquire IMG stake in media joint venture

Golf’s Asian Tour is planning to exercise an option to restructure its 12-year joint venture with IMG and acquire the agency’s stake in Asian Tour Media, the tour’s host broadcast and media sales unit.

The golf circuit entered into a long-term partnership with IMG Media in November 2010 to enhance its media business worldwide, with the unit managing television production for the tour, rights sales to broadcasters, as well as event delivery.
