Telco FPT is reported to have paid a huge fee increase to acquire Vietnamese domestic V.League football rights in a multi-year deal starting in 2023.
Local media reports this week said FPT had agreed a deal worth in the range of VND57bn ($2.3m/€2.3m) to VND60bn per season. The reports say this would represent an extraordinary, 20-fold increase in value compared to the current deal, with local agency Next Media, said to be worth around VND2bn per season.
